Hi everyone.

My name is Anders 'Andy' Nyman and I am not only the admin of this forum but also the host of the Polarbear Podcast, which is an Internet radio type show all about Sweden. If you want to know more about the podcast behind all this, feel free to visit the website at http://www.polarbearpodcast.com.

I am a 36 year old guy, currently living in Helsingborg in the southern parts of Sweden, together with my wife and two kids from a previous marriage and a dog, also known as the "Iranian combat goat". Don't ask me where I got that from but she has some resembelance to one of those...I think. My interests in life are among other things podcasting, writing novels, graphic design, music and movies, preferrably from the later parts of the 20th century and beyond. The thing with writing is also a fairly new hobby that I have taken on and I'm loving it. My first book will hopefully be released sometime this fall.

I have also recently taken on training, as we bought one of those hell-machines a while back. Now it's come to use and it feels good - every time I get OFF it. Hopefully it will help me shed some weight in the long run.

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and introduce myself as well.

My name is Zebulon Plotnick, though most people just call me Zeb. I'm a 22 year old guy, working as a Nuclear Engineer, mostly doing preparatory and safety calculation work for refueling nuclear power plants. I recently moved to a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, but before that I have lived in Madison, WI (for college), suburbs of Minneapolis, MN (high school), and Stockholm, Sweden (where I was born).

As for now, I'm still getting used to my new surroundings, but in my spare time I enjoy traveling (way too much of my income goes towards gasoline and airline tickets), bowling, reading, running (if all goes well I'll be running a marathon by the end of the year), cooking, watching tv and movies, listening to music, doing "Swedish stuff" and spending time with friends and family.

Thats it about me for now.

I work in Nuclear Power too.

Awesome, I have two nuclear scientists in my audience!

For the record: I know NOTHING about nuclear science apart from what you learn in high school physics class, but doing a podcast and being a computer geek I know how to USE a lot of nuclear power. That part is pretty easy!

Hello PolarBears!

My name is Skipper, but most everyone calls me Skip, so it is a name that has Stuck. Just wanted to Say Hello, I have been listening to Andy (and Marie sometimes) for a long time, well since the beginning...

I also know nothing about Nuclear power (I've been hearing the so called savants on the DSC - but I seem to know less then before). I'm a 40 year old Software Engineer who is passionate about Travel. My connection to Sweden is that I worked in Stockholm for about 18 months, traveling back and forth to my native Austin, TX. I made some really good friends that I miss dearly and haven't seen them since 9/11 when the world changed.

I also have two kids (boy & girl both 5 - figure that out?) and a dog.
