If you are planning a trip to Sweden and want to see something a bit more genuine than the changing of the royal guards in Stockholm, I suggest you take a trip to Gotland. You get there by ferry from Kalmar, and after 3 hours you arrive at Visby and then you have an netire island to discover.
With it's wide range of nature and settings Gotland has something for everyone, regardless if you're looking for laid back sun bathing on one of the many beaches, cultural sightseeing among churches and ruins or if you are in the business of partying all night long!
I would for example recommend visiting Lumelunda Caves, Krusmynthagården, Strandkaféet in Ljugarn and Fårö.
Gotland is a very different part of Sweden and well worth visiting. It doesn't matter if you are a family, newly weds or a group of teens. Gotland has it all!
